NYFW Review: SinoVision Journal Stars Taoray Wang SS19

Chinese designer Taoray Wang on September 10 debuts her Spring Summer 2019 collection at New York Fashion Week. Considered the “queen of suits”, Wang stayed true to her brand, showcasing a mix of traditional and trendy styles. 
Pastels, plaid and pieces boasting that Taoray Wang trademark tailored structure. Merging East and West, dressing that global business lady and oozing with feminine power, independence and confidence:  Wang’s SS19 presented a flower bursting into bloom, blossom-blush inspired collection.

About Taoray Wang

Wang Tao, born in 1967 and professionally known as “Taoray Wang”, is a Chinese fashion designer and founder of her namesake brand, Taoray Wang.

Upon graduating from East China Normal University, Wang trained at Tokyo Mode Gakuen in Japan, where she was lauded with five international fashion awards. From there, Wang headed the studio for highly acclaimed Japanese designer Junko Koshino.

Recognized for her skills, Wang later on became creative director and CEO at Chinese womenswear brand broadcast:bo.

Wang in the 2010s has set out to become one of Asia’s most recognized and recognizable fashion designers. Her September 2014 debut (as well as that of her namesake brand) at New York Fashion Week attracted the accoladed love from retailers and media alike.
